Anne Rodgers Pearl (Director, Co-Artistic Director) has been involved with the Playwright/Director’s Workshop since its inception and has been either sole or Co-Artistic Director for the past 18 years.  She also usually directs at least one of the plays and, occasionally, acts in them as well.  Anne has also had the privilege of attending TANYS festivals many times, usually as producer, sometimes as director, and twice as actor.  Anne has had the honor of receiving a number of awards from TANYS over the years, for acting and directing, as well as overall artistic direction (with Gary Simon).  Anne also had the honor of performing at the ESTA Festival last year where she received an award for outstanding acting.  In addition to HTM, Anne has performed and directed locally for M&M Productions, Stage Road Players, and YCP TheaterWorks where she is also the current board President.  Anne works as an optical assistant in Croton and lives in Cortlandt Manor with her husband and fellow director, actor, and playwright, Bruce Pearl, and are the parents of three grown sons and two daughters-in-law.  Finally, Anne would like to thank the HTM board for their continuous support of the Workshop and, last but not least, Gary Simon, her perennial partner in crime, without whom this wouldn't be any fun at all!

Steve Schnapper (Dr. Darvi) is happy to be performing for Hand-To-Mouth in the play Regression. His other performances in Westchester include Travels With My Aunt with M&M Productions, Dividing The Estate, Arsenic And Old Lace, The Crucible, Night Watch, The Cherry Orchard, Time Flies, 33 Variations, National Pastime, For Better, Head Case, Built For Extremes, The Trouble Today, and Them Who Knew Him. Steve has appeared in Manhattan at the Manhattan Repertory Theater and in the musical On Blue Mountain at Town Hall. Steve has appeared on TV in The Play’s The Thing. He appeared in the movie The Last Film Festival. Steve sang with the Philip Morris Employee Chorale, with his back-up singers the Schnappettes, and in the band 7th Heaven.

Gary Simon (Cameron, Co-Artistic Director, Production Manager) Oh my, 25 years! The Playwright/Director's Workshop has long been a labor of love for Gary. The process each year begins in February and culminates with a whirlwind weekend of original innovative, poignant, dramatic, comedic, and sometimes experimental theatre. This year has been no different. Gary is the recipient of multiple TANYS and ESTA acting awards, and, most satisfyingly, has been the producer and co-award winning co-artistic director with the always glowing Anne Rodgers Pearl, for 13 wonderful years. May the PDW continue its tradition of producing original works so playwrights may realize their dreams of having their works produced in front of an audience. In real life, Gary is dentist to the stars in Cortlandt Manor, and proud father of Addison and Scott.

Jacqueline Anne Smith (Claudia) is participating in her 5th season with the HTM Players PDW. "Playing pretend" with her friends is one of her greatest joys and the best therapy money can't buy! Jacqueline Anne has received awards both in acting and playwriting from TANYS. When she's not on stage, you can find her in the classroom teaching calculus ala common core to 5 year olds!
